GTM: Dark background for custom HTML tags and custom JavaScript variables

Dark background for custom HTML tags and custom JavaScript variables because white backgrounds hurt our delicate eyes ;)

Answer

Answer

I just added the dark theme when using the expanded version (it was an omission on my part). It will be there in the next release.

For the line & character indicator, do you mean when you are looking at GTM Preview and there's an error in your tag?

Planned

If I'm reading between the lines, what you would really like is the full power of the Code Mirror editor :)

Completed

Done in release 2018.10.25 - a new dark theme option :)

Da Vinci improves the following elements in the editor:

- highlight variables

- dark theme option

- code reformatting

Google already provides the option to enlarge the window (something that was in the old Code Editor for GTM extension)

Hey Stéphane, can you please extend the dark mode editor to the expanded code editor? Dark mode is the best, but I lose it as soon as I make the screen big enough to be usable. Also, could you add a line and character indicator? When gtm says there is an error it tells you where it is, but then you have to count to find it. This would be a great feature.

Thanks so much for making our lives that much better
